DESCRIPTION:Step back in time on site of Alabama’s first sawmill as Stockton celebrates its history and heritage as a sawmill town.  Draft animals pulling logs; professional lumberjacks demonstrating log-rolling\, pole-climbing\, crosscut sawing\, & boom-walking\, lumberjack sport camp where pros teach young & old art of log rolling & crosscut sawing; living history demonstrations – basket making\, spinning\, weaving\, horseshoeing\, blacksmithing\, syrup making\, gristmill\, Indian camp\, cooking in cast iron pots\, piney wood oxen & sheep  & others. \nChurn butter\, shell corn\, gather eggs\, hunt for treasure in sawdust pile.  Juried “folk art”.  Live music.  Buck dancing contest.  “Hayride History Tour” of park compliments of Bald. Co. Dept.
