Adults: $20 Youth: $10 \nDivisions:\n-Adult\n-Women\n-Youth\n-Bow \nIncludes Big Doe Contests and $250 Random Drawings as well. \nMore information to come. \nClick the link to follow on social media. \nBig Buck Contest Rules:\n– Must comply with all State of Alabama whitetail deer\ngame regulations.\n– Must be free range whitetail deer.\n– Must be harvested in Butler\, Clarke\, Dallas\, Lowndes\,\nMarengo\, Monroe\, and Wilcox counties.\n– Antlers must be attached to the head when turned in.\n– All deer will be scored on a gross Boone and Crocket\nscoring system\, all scores are final\, and no scores will be\nreleased until the end of the season.\n– You cannot have your deer scored by any outside parties\nuntil contest is over.\n– A ticket must be purchased before each deer is killed.\n– The winners of the contest will be required to take a lie\ndetector test.\n– All deer must be turned in by February 11th\, 2023.\n– Bow kills are eligible for adult or youth prizes.\n– Only eligible to place in one Big Buck category.\n– If you do not comply with these rules you will be\nautomatically disqualified.\n– Each deer turned in for the contest must be turned in at\nVenison\, LLC:\n150 HWY 41 N\, Camden\, AL 36726 \n  \nBig Doe Rules:\nThere will be three doe contests:\nDecember 3rd – 4th\nJanuary 7th – 8th\nFebruary 4th-5th\n– To be eligible for these contests you must have purchased a\nBig Buck Ticket before harvesting the doe\, and you must\nhave your ticket present to turn in your doe.\n– You will not have to turn in your Big Buck Ticket\, and you\nwill be able to use it for any buck that you turn in.\n– Weigh-in time From 9:00am – 12:00pm and\n5:00pm – 8:00pm at Venison\, LLC.

Each year we host the event as a way to attract tourists to Downtown Camden and provide entertainment for all. This year the event will be held April 26 from 5-9pm\, and April 27\, 2019 from 9am-2pm in Downtown Camden\, Alabama. On Saturday morning\, beginning at 9:00am\, the streets of Camden will come alive with a street festival\, BBQ Cook-off competition and entertainment provided by a variety of musicians performing a variety of genre! Along with the BBQ Cook Off\, Black Belt Treasures Cultural Arts Center will be hosting their annual “Hog Wild for Art” Festival\, complete with games\, hands-on art activities\, demonstrating artists\, face painting\, and more. A new addition to this year’s events is an Antique Car Show\, and Wilcox ArtWorks’s Juried Art Show. Tour begins at 10:00 but tickets will be sold beginning at 8:00am at Gee’s Bend Ferry Terminal and 9:00am at Black Belt Treasures. \nThe tour includes the following: DryFork\, Liberty Hall\, White Columns\, Yaupon\, and The Beck-Bryant-Talbot Home. We will also have Canton Bend Church\, Wilcox Female Institute\, and The Dale Masonic Lodge open for the tour.  Quilts created by local artists will be available to view at The Wilcox Female Institute as well.\nLive portrayal of Alabama’s 39th Governor\, Benjamin Meek Miller  will be performed at The Miller-Bonner-Law Office. \nLunches will be available for purchase at The Wilcox Female Institute by Blue Spoon Catering\, and The Masonic Lodge will also be serving BBQ plates. DESCRIPTION:Coming up in Camden on February 23rd\, 24th\, & 25th. AHA had their meet in Camden last year and it was such a success they are coming back and have invited the NAFA to join them at this years meet. Local AHA members and active falconers\, Michael Moore and John Brunson are the go to guys for this event. Michael told me this morning that he is expecting over 100 falconers with 40 plus birds to attend. \nThe headquarters this year will be “The Shed” in Camden. Located at the intersection of Hwy 10/28\, 5 miles east of Camden. They will hunt Thursday then have a Meet & Greet at The Shed. The falconers will have their birds on display and answer any question the public might have about the sport. \nAfter the Friday hunt\, Lauren McGough will speak on Eagle Falconry and The Falconry fund Project. Jeff Fincher will also speak on Red-tail Hawking and his recent trip to Africa. Chili will also be served on Friday. \nAfter morning hunt Saturday\, pizza lunch at The Shed\, afternoon hunt\, there will be the Annual Banquet/Raffle. SUMMARY:Youth Mental Health First Aid for Wilcox County
DESCRIPTION:The West Central Alabama Area Health Education Center (AHEC) will be hosting a Youth Mental Health First Aid training in Camden\, AL on Wednesday\, April 6th\, 2016 at the Wilcox Chamber of Commerce (1001 Earl Hilliard Road\, Camden\, AL 36726) from 8 A.M. – 5 P.M.  AHEC will train members of the public to improve mental health literacy – helping them identify\, understand and respond to signs of mental illness in youth. This training is open to all who are interested. \n  \nMental Health First Aid is an 8-hour training certification course which teaches participants a five-step action plan to assess a situation\, select and implement interventions and secure appropriate care for a young person. This certification program introduces participants to risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems\, builds understanding of their impact and overviews common treatments. \n  \nUpon completion of the Youth Mental Health First Aid training\, participants will receive Youth Mental Health First Aid certifications through the National Council for Behavioral Health. The Deep South Center for OH&S is an approved provider of continuing education units for nurses by the AL Board of Nursing (Provider ABNP0420 Expiration Date 01/03/2019) and has awarded this program 8.0 contact hours. SUMMARY:Delta Regional Authority’s Entrepreneurial Pitch Competition
DESCRIPTION:The Pitch Competition is much like some of the current shows airing on television. An individual or company has 3 minutes to “pitch” their idea to a panel of judges who are experts in various business fields. There will also include a 1 minute Q&A time immediately following the 3 minute presentation. The top 3 winners from each location will qualify to compete in New Orleans March 25-27\, with one additional alternate chosen from all locations for a total of 16 finalist.
