SUMMARY:Millers Ferry Resource Office Open House
DESCRIPTION:The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites the public to an open house at the renovated Millers Ferry Resource Office on Sunday afternoon\, October 14th\, between the hours of 2-4 PM.  Using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds\, the Corps renovated the resource office by providing accessibility for the disabled\, a conference room\, a break/lunch room\, and new personnel facilities. Also\, at 3:00 PM\, a new patrol boat will be dedicated in memory and honor of our first Resource Manager\, Mr. Robert M. Creswell.  Mr. Creswell served the Alabama River Lakes from 1969-1984\, providing operations management and maintenance over public use facilities on three lakes extending 250 river miles throughout eight counties.  The boat CRESWELL is now patrolling the Alabama River Lakes in Mr. Creswell’s memory. Please join the Corps and the Creswell family by attending this open house and boat dedication occasion.
